Responsibilities:
• Mainly responsible for troubleshooting, machine / equipment repair, and replacement of components to ensure maintenance activities performed on equipment meet optimal production and reliability
• Ensure manufacturer warranties remain effective by adhering to necessary safeguards and guidelines.
• Perform correcting, predictive and preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines and plant systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnosis on equipment repairs utilizing both pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
• Proper use of test equipment to logically troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Fabricate, read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Maintain plant support systems in working order, i.e., heat, air, fans, air compressors, and dryers, etc.
• Ensure work areas are neat, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Ensure production area floors and equipment are free from excess spare parts, worn parts, debris, and other items not necessary for operating and maintaining production equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and Company safety rules and regulations and provide guidance to OEM technicians while troubleshooting more difficult issues
• Maintain an open line of communication between peers, shifts, and leaders to ensure effective reporting of equipment deficiencies and repairs are reported promptly.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Required overtime hours on off days when necessary to ensure vacancies are covered and operations remain efficient.
Requirements:
• 3 -5 years’ industrial mechanical or electrical experience required
• Technical training is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications.
• Standard knowledge of product specifications, quality requirements, production goals, efficiency, and waste
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of cause-and-effect logic.
• Ability to perform accurate electrical and mechanical repairs in an industrial setting.
• Demonstrated safe, effective use of hand, maintenance, power, and shop tools. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens PLC is preferred, along with a background in machine process control including Ethernet and SERCOS protocols)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team utilizing mechanical, and analytical aptitude.
