We are seeking a hardworking and friendly individual to join our team as a Distillery Tasting Room Kitchen Prep/Bar Porter. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the tasting room by maintaining cleanliness and organization, assisting with preparing and serving food, and providing excellent customer service to our guests. They will also be responsible for preparing and stocking bar syrups, garnishes and ice.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including tables, bar area, and restrooms
- Assist bartenders with preparing and serving drinks, including pouring and measuring ingredients, garnishing, and maintaining bar supplies
- Assist with food service by preparing and plating appetizers and snacks, and delivering them to customers
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions, and providing information about the distillery and its products
- Set up and break down of tasting room events and private parties
- Monitor inventory of glassware, bar supplies, and food items, and communicate any shortages to management
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and clean working environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods of time, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 21 years of age or older
