The broad range of expertise includes exterior repair and roof replacement; facade inspection safety; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; structural engineering; retail and commercial buildouts; building condition surveys; energy audits, and historic restoration.
Description:
Immediate need for highly motivated technical professionals to assist with project management on a variety of exciting projects involving Building Envelope, exterior, Facade, LL11, FISP, etc..
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall technical management and support on new fac¸ade and roofing opportunities from proposal preparation through final acceptance from the client.
- Establish project objectives, budgets, procedures, and standards.
- Examine building exterior envelopes (visually and hands-on), develop work scope, and provide budget objectives.
- Prepare construction docs and details to address all deficiencies in accordance with DOB, and LPC requirements.
- Identify new work opportunities and inform client services of potential projects.
- Conduct contractor bid solicitations.
- Perform construction observations and special inspections and issue site visit reports.
- Create and maintain project schedules, issue change orders, and oversee completion of project close-outs, including permit signoffs.
- Actively monitor project budgets.
Job Requirements:
- 5 + years of experience in inspecting building exterior envelopes and subsequently designing and administering exterior repair/roofing projects.
- Must be well-versed in all facets of building exterior envelope, weatherproofing, masonry repair, historic preservation, roofing projects, as well as FISP / LL11 Inspections and reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated mastery in estimating, cost control, construction observation, and developing client relationships.
- Must have New York buildings experience.
Education:
Bachelors of Architecture or Civil or Structural Engineering
