We are currently seeking a Robotics Engineer to join our fast paced, diverse, and safety centric team. In this role you will provide technical support on all Hiwin mechanical and mechatronic system design and integration for our diverse customer base.
A typical day as a Robotics Engineer can include:
- Providing technical support and training to HIWIN Sales representatives and customers on all HIWIN robotic products;
- Building and testing the robotic system's individual parts or the system as a whole, including articulated arm robots, grippers/end effectors, machine vision, electronic control systems, and application software;
- Utilizing HIWIN’s robotic system software (HRSIM) to simulate robotic systems and develop applications;
- Performing feasibility analysis and lab testing of customer applications, supports prototype development and troubleshooting;
- Documenting all project information for the successful completion of each job. Maintains engineering files containing customer criteria and specifications, drawings, and compliance to applicable electrical codes;
- Participating in product and project review meetings. Provides feedback pertaining to product design.
An ideal candidate would:
- Have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on mechatronics;
- Possess a minimum 2+ years of work experience in the development and implementation of automation, robotic simulation, electrical design, programming, schematics, control system integration, and repair and analysis of electromechanical applications of automated machinery;
- Have proven work experience with AC & DC motor drives, programming (PLC & robot), servo motion control, robot simulation software, pneumatics, and safety PLCs and controllers;
- Be experienced in Solidworks or with an equivalent software.
