As an experienced engineer with expertise in broadcast systems and IP equipment, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of world-class broadcast services and ensure seamless live coverage of major sporting events and pay-per-view broadcasts across the globe.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and maintain broadcast transmission systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery for live events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real time.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and broadcast solutions to enhance service offerings.
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless transmission for live sporting and entertainment events.
- Mentor and train team members.
- Ability to work shifts to support 24x7x365 production environments.
What you’ll bring role:
- Proven background in the broadcast and media industry with experience in transmission, routing, switching, and distribution technologies.
- Strong technical IT skills, including maintaining server-based control systems, automation systems, and related infrastructure.
- Expertise in compressed and uncompressed video formats (SDI, SMPTE 2110, H.264, JPEG2000) and understanding of video stream metadata (timecode, closed captioning).
- Proficiency in IP networking, multicasting, and streaming media protocols (RTP, RTSP, UDP).
- Knowledge of broadcast TV standards, workflows, and delivery solutions.
- Solid understanding of IPv4 networking, routers, and Linux systems.
- Experience in server-building, maintenance, and hardware installations.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve in fast-paced environments.
