Job Description: A global manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to join their Information Systems team to support ongoing global projects related to systems and applications within their plants. As a Program Manager, this individual will work closely with the process information team, global quality management, and leadership across multiple business units to compile and streamline project requirements and drive multiple projects to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Project and Program Management (Agile, waterfall, hybrid), experience with supporting application and system projects, strong time management and influence skills, and should have experience working within the manufacturing industry. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity and the candidate must be local to the greater Philadelphia area and go onsite in Wilmington or Newark, DE 3 times a week. Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and prioritize software development projects working with a several governance teams
• Monitoring and escalating project risks, opportunities, issues and key decisions that may impact the project and overall program
• Ensuring quality and timely delivery of all project deliverables
• Continually identifying prioritizing and mitigating project risks and issues
• Driving proper project chartering and setup
• Monitoring the day-to-day implementation of operational project tasks and escalation of issues
• Creating timelines and project plans for all identified projects
• Creating communication plans for the global program governance process
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Program and Project Management in an enterprise environment (leading technically complex projects and cross functional project teams, driving outcomes and leading business-centered change preferably in the software development field)
- Knowledge and expertise in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
- Experience supporting multiple projects at once (both small and large)
- Experienced in using MS Project and other enterprise project management tools
- Strong experience with project scoping, budget management, timeline management, and presentations - Knowledge of DevOps (Azure)
- Strong communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to work in a highly-matrixed, complex environment
