Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Direct Hire)
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire
Location: Syracuse, NY
Pay: $32.00/hour DOE, wage commensurate of experience.

Essential job duties for this role will include:
- Set Up, Trouble Shooting and Preventative Maintenance.
- Provide support to the production team to produce superior quality materials the meet or exceed client needs.
- This role supports the needs of manufacturing and facilities to ensure both are in top working order.
- Diagnose mechanical equipment to diagnose any issues.
- Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic
- Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble / locate and repair defective components
- Uses detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal/written instructions.
- Properly inspect and maintains shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment and prepares new machines and production equipment for operations.
- Follows a strict preventative maintenance schedule to lessen downtime related to machine repair and maintenance.
Fundamental Qualifications:
- Repairs: Mechanical equipment, pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines using hand tools, testing equipment, and power tools.
- Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
- Assembles machinery after moving locations
- Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
- Cleans and lubricates all parts of machinery
- Electro and mechanical focus: Installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing and utilizing electrical energy.
- Uses instruments to test circuits and replaces or installs new power, light, electronic and control circuits.
- Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Repair complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, control panels, relays and alarms.
- Performs complex wiring assignments
- Installs, measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assemblies and installs conduit
- Electrical system: schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specs to locate and diagnose trouble in an electrical system
- Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective actions
- Implements and understands those ISO 9000 procedures that relate to the role and responsibilities of position.
- Orders parts and requisitions new parts needed
- Prepares reports and keeps inventory records
- Facilities and repairs of facility as needed
We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with the following background profile/skillset:
- Display good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Electro and mechanical experience.
- Experienced with mechanics, electrical, preventative and installation of equipment.
- Maintains and tracks appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
