Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Operational Accounting Analyst to join their St. Louis team! If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn and strong analytical skills, then this could be a great fit for you!
Duties:
- Responsible for the compilation and analytics of inventory activity
- Research and analyze consumption rates and BOM’s
- Collect and prepare operational KPI’s
- Research labor variances and indirect labor usage
- Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts
- Assist with Operations and Manufacturing projects
- Assist in annual Physical Inventories
- Assist in Operational Planning and output analysis
- Assist in sales and shipping analysis
- Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc
- Responsible for overhead absorption analysis and standard cost rollup analysis
- Assist in month-end close and preparation of month-end reports
- Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculation effects on overall costs
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting in manufacturing environment
- Excel experience, such as data analytics, pivot tables, etc.
- General data reporting platform skills, such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
- General Microsoft Office skills
- Agile, collaborative, proactive, problem-solver, cross-departmental communication, spearhead projects, reach out to problem-solve
