Direct Wire & Cable is hiring a Controls Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that enhance our manufacturing processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
Please note: This position requires onsite work at our Lancaster and Denver (PA) facilities, with a hybrid schedule available.

Requirements:
- BS degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Industrial Ethernet (ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP), DeviceNet, Motor Control, VFD Drives, Relays, and Sensors.
- Excellent proficiency in ladder logic and various PLC programming languages.
- Experience with both Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, multimeters, and/or oscilloscopes for analysis, troubleshooting, and system modification.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to develop, modify, and troubleshoot control systems.
- Organized and ability to problem-solve in an industrial environment.
