An automotive parts manufacturer by the Tupelo, MS area is looking for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the performances of multiple departments, alongside with the Production department.
This is a full time, and direct hire position with benefits: 401(k), Dental, Health, Life insurance, PTO, Vision, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of staff members across Safety, Quality, Process development, Training, and HR departments
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager and additional upper management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 - 5 years of managerial experience ideally in a manufacturing setting
- General knowledge of Quality Assurance, Safety Programs, and HR practices (employee relations, risk management and compliance)
- Familiarity with Toyota Production System (TPS) is ideal
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
This position includes a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
