Materials Coordinator I - Contract - Carlsbad, CA
Proclinical is seeking a Materials Coordinator I for a contract role in Carlsbad, CA.
Primary Responsibilities:

The Materials Coordinator I's responsibilities will be:
- Receive incoming materials and verify against specifications, vendor documents, and purchase orders.
- Support the Quality Management System by adhering to documentation practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform accurate data entry in the Enterprise Resource System (ERP) for material transactions.
- Maintain receiving documentation in compliance with internal procedures and SOPs.
- Follow best practices for material inventory, purchasing, and control, and provide improvement recommendations.
- Resolve supplier invoice issues in collaboration with Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control for timely testing and release of materials.
- Conduct cycle counts and wall-to-wall counts as needed.
- Pick and stage materials for manufacturing and laboratory support.
- Ensure accurate client billing and raw material traceability through timely return-to-stock processing.
- Maintain organized work areas using 6S principles (sort, straighten, standardize, shine, sustain, safety).
- Reconcile inventory variances with Manufacturing and laboratory departments.
- Package and ship materials and samples to customers and testing facilities, monitoring shipments for potential delays.
- Provide backup support for client audits.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a high-paced environment.
- Operate heavy equipment and vehicles to move materials.
- Uphold high ethical and moral standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, staff, and clients as needed.
- Participate as a team player in all aspects of the business.
- Adhere to quality standards set by regulations and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
