Job Description: The Development Associate is responsible for supporting a comprehensive, diversified, and sustainable fundraising program to subsidize the general operations and core programs of the World Science Foundation. Main responsibilities include database management, coordination of donor relations, fundraising campaigns, special events, and grant monitoring and research. This role reports to the Director of Development.
Responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day data donation entries into Raiser’s Edge NXT and corresponding donor segmentation and acknowledgment.
· Assist in donor and sponsor relations and event planning.
· Provide support for additional development-related administrative tasks.
· Oversee the organization’s Customer Relations Management (CRM), Raiser’s Edge NXT.
· Maintain foundation, corporate and individual donor files.
· Analyze for system and process improvements.
· Assist in gift processing, route inquiries from donors and other stakeholders, oversee appropriate documentation to process credits to donors.
· Reconcile donations with the Finance Department monthly.
· Create monthly fundraising reports and dashboards.
· Manage departmental expenses
· Support the planning and execution of all fundraising events, including the World Science Festival.
· Coordinate event logistics, including pre- and post-event planning.
· Attend WSF programming and events as needed.
· Assist in researching, cultivating, and stewarding donor relationships.
· Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence, communicating accordingly with various stakeholders for updates.
· Coordinate productions and mailing of seasonal appeal letters and acknowledgements.
Qualifications and Special Requirements
· Minimum 3 years development experience.
· Bachelor’s degree.
· Customer Relations Management (CRM) proficiency, preferably with Raiser’s Edge NXT.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and Internet).
· Capacity to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
· Ability to be self-directed and work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
· Must be able to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
· Collaborative, flexible, team-oriented and positive work ethic.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 annually, depending upon experience. WSF offers a comprehensive package of benefits.
