JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join one of our largest Federal clients in the Oklahoma City Area. As a Structural System Engineer, you will solve complex challenges and shape security and safety. You will work on the base along with the customer, and their engineers to provide direction, oversight, and communication on the program. You will work with the customer to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You will share your expertise through leadership and mentoring, while broadening your skillset into areas like structure analysis and process. You will understand the customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. You will translate real-world needs into technical specifications to find a focused engineering solution. This person will need to hold an active Top Secret clearance to gain access to support this program.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
10 or more years of experience in the aerospace industry Bachelors degree in Engineering Experience with structural engineering in support of aircraft requirement definition, development, integration, and testing Experience with performing system requirements development and verification methods, including review of requirement documents, system modeling, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification Experience with leading technical discussions for structure analysis and system engineering during project planning and review sessions and in informal interactions with the client or outside agencies Ability to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for an aircraft modification program
