Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Upstream Life in New Orleans, LA. The individual will be responsible for investment management, investment research and evaluation, implementing investment strategies, portfolio management, trading, and overseeing investments on a day-to-day basis. The individual will be required to research and evaluate fundamental investment data and information, and develop analysis reports, financial projections, and valuations on assigned sectors through a fundamental and relative value analysis framework. The individual is expected to develop full coverage of the assigned sector and be a thought leader in the space as well as have a network of established relationships with external clients and internal sales and trading staff.
Qualifications
- Investment Management, Portfolio Management, and Investments Skills
- Experience in developing and implementing investment strategies
- Trading expertise
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as CFA or CIPM are a plus
- 5-7 years related experience required
Systems and Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bloomberg experience preferred

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Upstream Life offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Upstream Life is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
