We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in the heart of New York City. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
- Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions utilizing Cisco routers and switches.
- Deploy and optimize Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA Firepower to ensure the security and integrity of our network.
Security:
- Implement and maintain Intrusion Prevention and Detection Systems (IPD/IDS) to safeguard against potential security threats.
- Configure and manage VPNs to ensure secure communication over the network.
VoIP:
- Design, implement, and support VoIP solutions to facilitate efficient and reliable communication within the organization.
Monitoring and Management:
- Utilize SolarWinds SEM to monitor, analyze, and respond to network-related issues.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement network solutions that align with organizational goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a hands-on Network Engineer.
- CCNA or CCNP certification is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Proficient in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA Firepower.
- Experience with VoIP solutions and technologies.
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies and best practices.
- Knowledge and experience in deploying and managing IPD/IDS.
- Familiarity with SolarWinds SEM for network monitoring and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
