We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in foundry operations, specifically focusing on melting furnaces, furnace control panels, and power supply systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems for both channel and coreless furnaces. This role requires a deep understanding of furnace operations and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for melting furnaces, including channel and coreless furnaces.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to furnace control panels, power supplies, and other electrical components.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize furnace performance and ensure compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment in new and existing foundry setups.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to ensure operational reliability and safety.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Provide training and technical support to maintenance and operational staff on furnace electrical systems.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and incorporate best practices into design and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of iron, copper, or brass melting processes in a foundry environment is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in foundry operations with a focus on melting equipment.
- Proven experience with furnace control panels, power supplies, channel furnaces, and coreless furnaces.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and codes.
- Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
