The Operations Senior Associate will play a key role in managing the operational aspects of the firm. The senior associate will work closely with investment professionals, legal, compliance, accounting, tax, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of transactions, monitor ongoing investments, and maintain accurate records. The operations senior associate will play a critical role in keeping firm-wide operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Job Duties:
● Own investment and fund operations processes from start to finish, including fund formation, deal execution, investor subscription and onboarding , and processing advance requests from existing borrowers
● Manage the firm’s CRM and investor portal, ensuring they remain current and contain all the information i) each team member needs in order to perform their respective roles to the best of their ability, and ii) each investor needs to understand their investments
● Manage adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the firm, and schedule periodic reviews of SOPs to ensure they remain up-to-date with changes in best practices; incorporate feedback from employees, regulatory updates, and lessons learned from incidents or audits into SOP revisions
● Serve as a liaison between the firm, our portfolio companies, our investors, and our third party service providers (e.g. fund admins, legal, compliance, IT/Cyber Security, banks, etc.)
● Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes and enhance efficiency
● Manage investor ODD/DDQ requests, coordinating with various teams across the firm as needed
● Complete ad hoc projects and requests
● Manage inbound questions and requests, both internal and external, and ensure they are acknowledged, addressed and closed out in a timely manner
● Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 6-8 years of private fund experience, preferably within a private credit environment
● Extremely detail oriented
● Entrepreneurial / self-starter, ego-less
● Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
● Someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and getting into the weeds on difficult projects that support the firm’s strategic initiatives
● Resourceful – able to figure out how to find an answer / see a project through to completion
● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results with attention to detail
● Action oriented - able to move fast and use good judgment with limited information sets
● B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
Competitive compensation package based on experience and skills, with a target total cash compensation range of $150,000-$200,000.
