Job Title: Director of Geotechnical Engineering
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
Qualifications/Requirements:-
- Active PE License
- Experience in North and/or Central Texas
- Experience in TxDOT geotechnical projects is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Minimum 5 years of geotechnical group management
- Ability to engage in relevant dialogue with clients
- Successfully work with minimal supervision
- Lead, coach, and mentor junior professional staff
- Ability to organize logically and manage time effectively
- Eagerly seek new challenges
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:-
- The successful candidate will also possess proven group management skills (minimum 5 years). This position will reside in our Dallas-Fort Worth location.
- Manage a team of Geotechnical PE's and EIT's on a scope of different projects.
- Identify Business Development opportunities
- Prepare engineering reports that provide practical geotechnical solutions
- Develop and manage projects (scope, schedule, budget)
- Perform and review engineering calculations, such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seepage
- Conduct geotechnical field investigations
- Other duties as required
Physical Demands:-
- Ability to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- Ability to work overtime as needed
