We’re on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in Mechanical Project Management, with a strong emphasis on HVAC construction. This role requires a dynamic individual who is energetic, personable, and brings robust leadership, direction, and dedication to our projects. Note that this position involves significant travel, so flexibility and a willingness to be on the move are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate mechanical construction projects from start to finish, with a specific focus on HVAC systems.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each project to manage materials/equipment ordering, issue subcontracts, develop billings, handle RFIs and change orders, and review submittals. Ensure all team members are well-informed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project contracts, including general conditions, work scope, and specifications.
- Proactively anticipate and address potential issues, resolving problems before they escalate.
- Estimate and sell various project types: plan/spec, design/assist, design/build.
- Supervise the preparation of fabrication shop work packages, with strong expertise in HVAC systems, including detail drawing reviews, material take-offs, buyouts, and fabrication budgets.
- Collaborate closely with our Safety Department to manage project risks and ensure safety compliance both on-site and off-site.
- Ensure all contractual performance conditions are met.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction, with a specialized focus on HVAC systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or substantial experience in Construction Management.
- Preferred knowledge of HVAC and piping systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with construction management software and strong overall computer skills.
- Experience with P6 or Microsoft Project, with a willingness to learn.
