Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for applying their functional knowledge of finance to create and optimize practices and processes with a focus on supporting direct-to-consumer channels. This role will be responsible for areas such as forecasting, budgeting, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and reviewing operational performance. The portfolio of businesses operates across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Retail teams to update monthly sales and expense forecasts for the retail network and e-commerce sales channels.
- Prepare detailed forecasts of headcount requirements and costs for our stores.
- Assist in the month-end process by reviewing/recording journal entries, providing supporting analysis files, and distributing budget updates to various departments.
- Compare actual financial results against the previous month’s forecast and budget, and explain variances for retail and e-commerce channels.
- Create monthly and quarterly Financial projection reports with sales, margin, and expense analysis for senior management.
- Partner with division heads to review the past month’s performance and discuss future forecasts in monthly conference calls.
- Create annual budgets for the divisions, including preparation of board presentations.
- Perform various special projects when required from finance teams.
Qualifications
- 4+ years related experience, preferably in retail/wholesale and inventory planning.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), able to work with multiple linked files, complex formulas, etc.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with sales and inventory costing, journal entries, and general ledger analysis.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate in a matrix environment.
- Team player and problem solver in a demanding deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Calculated risk taker.
HYBRID SCHEDULE: 4 days a week in the office, 1 day work from home.
