The Solutions Manager is responsible for leading the development of new technology solutions from conception through adoption. This role involves working cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver technological capabilities aligned with the company's three-year strategy. The Manager prioritizes the efforts of a team of product owners and ensures successful solution launches that provide value to both customers and the company.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and manage a team of 2-3 product owners responsible for up to 6-10 technology products.
- Collaborate with Human Capital to build strong teams with diverse skills and perspectives.
- Engage with the Learning and Development team to create tools that enhance product development skills.
- Mentor, coach, and support team members to build trust, credibility, and future leadership potential.
Strategic Roadmap and Expertise:
- Assist IT Senior Leadership in developing the technology roadmap.
- Identify and apply technology trends to existing or new solutions and business processes.
Solution Design and Delivery:
- Establish a solution design process that fosters effective cross-functional communication and the creation of commercialized solutions.
- Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and comply with architectural best practices and systems strategy.
- Collaborate with the Director of IT Operations, Senior Manager of Enterprise Solutions, Enterprise Architect, and PMO to deliver products on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with the VP of IT to promote a vision of a fully digital organization.
- Develop solutions that enhance business process efficiency.
Technology Adoption and Innovation:
- Support the VP of IT's strategic plan as the subject matter expert on internal business processes.
- Identify new business process areas for digitalization.
- Lead ideation sessions to develop new solution opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities with demonstrated experience in researching and analyzing problems.
- Experience with complex enterprise IT solutions (ERP, CRM, MES, WMS, etc.).
- Applied project management skills in developing technology solutions.
- 5-10 years of experience managing technology software/hardware products or related experience.
- 2-3 years of experience managing high-functioning teams.
- 2-3 years as a Product Owner
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
