**Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:**
$30-$35/hr based on experience

*This is a 6-month contract position with the potential to become full-time upon completion*
**What’s a typical day as US Payroll Specialist? You’ll be:**
- Auditing day-to-day entries for hourly and salaried non-exempt employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws
- Communicating discrepancies to managers and employees, troubleshooting timekeeping system issues, and extracting time reports for payroll processing
- Processing bi-weekly and weekly payrolls for employees, including inputting new hires, changes, terminations, and bonuses into Celergo and Workday
- Updating direct deposit information, W4s, and state elections at employee requests
- Ensuring payroll changes and time are submitted by cutoff times and reviewing payroll registers for accuracy
- Addressing employees' and HR Business Partners' inquiries related to payroll via ServiceNow tickets
**This job might be an outstanding fit if you:**
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Business with a minimum of 3 years of experience processing payroll, including 2 years of multi-state payroll experience
- Possess at least 2 years of experience working with ADP and Workday HRIS systems for multi-state employees
- Alternatively, have 7 years of experience processing payroll, including multi-state payroll, with experience in ADP and Workday HRIS systems
- Boast strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving, follow-up, and troubleshooting abilities
**Desired Qualifications:**
- FPC or CPP Certification
- Experience with child support and garnishments, tax payments, and various types of payrolled employees (e.g., W4, 1099)
