We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in wire harness layout design. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical system design, wire harness development, and integration for automotive or similar industries. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and designers, to ensure the successful implementation of wire harness solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop wire harness layouts, schematics, and harness routing for electrical systems in vehicles or industrial equipment.
- Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to ensure accurate integration of wire harnesses within system designs.
- Create and maintain detailed electrical drawings, diagrams, and schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform electrical system analysis, including load calculations, voltage drops, and component selection, to optimize harness designs.
- Review and update wire harness designs to accommodate changes in design, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to specify and source components for wire harnesses, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of wire harnesses during development phases to ensure proper functionality.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve overall system performance and reliability.
