Job Description: Project Manager
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
- To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
- Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing regular contact on project status and changes
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identifying potential problems and developing contingency plans.
- Perform procurement activities as required, including preparing specifications, issuing RFQs, evaluating bids and communicating with vendors.
Organize and participate in project and pre-startup safety reviews
Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety and health requirements and promote a safe working environment for project execution.
Close projects as per guidelines and ensures proper documentation and handover
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- At least 3 years working experience in capital projects preferably in a process plant environment.
- Requires understanding of best practices for project management work processes.
- Sound technical knowledge. Able to do engineering calculations.
- Familiarity with technical codes and standards for example ASME, NEC, NFPA.
- Good analytical thinking, communication & interpersonal skills. Able to work independently.
- Meticulous and have great attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and have crisis management skills.
- Proven leadership skills in a team working environment.
