Title: Quality Assurance Engineer – Honda experience

MS Companies has a Confidential Search for a Direct Customer Liaison for coordination of Internal Quality activities and resources to address multi-customer concerns by implementing corrective actions into manufacturing. Train junior level Customer Quality Engineers in Honda Quality standards. Interact with Design Engineering for Quality documentation and validation testing. Responsible for filling in for Quality Manager, as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Documents multi-customer product concerns as single point contact for all internal and external customers quality issues – Honda background preferred
- Drives APQP programs with Design Engineering for new injection molded product introductions
- Lead continuous improvement projects for defect reductions
- Prepares custom PFMEA per Honda specifications with Control Plans
- Summarizes SPC data for customer on-site inspections and PPAP submissions
- Participates in Design Reviews, CRT, and launch support
- Facilitates Irreversible Corrective Action in Manufacturing via Quality Assurance improvements
- Directs Component Suppliers Quality Documentations (FMEA, PPAP, First Article, etc....)
- Presents quality audit reports for internal management review
- Mentors junior level Customer Quality Engineers customer specific requirements
REQUIRED:
- 3+ years’ experience in an automotive Quality Assurance or customer support
- environment required
- Production Validation background with injection molded products or window regulators preferred
- 4-year degree preferred in quality or engineering or equivalent field. CQE Certification a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Factory environment with noise from manufacturing equipment. Exposure to dangerous equipment. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment
- Drives between customers using an automobile in high traffic areas
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – up to 50 pounds
