What You'll Do
As an In-House Legal Counsel at Doceree, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive legal support to our organization. You will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including contract review and negotiation, compliance, risk assessment, and general legal advice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our executive team and contribute to the strategic direction of the company.
- Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice to the executive team to mitigate potential issues.
- Assist in managing and resolving legal disputes and litigation.
- Compliance and Regulatory Matters:
- Stay current with relevant laws and regulations impacting the company's operations.
- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure the company's adherence to legal standards.
- Provide legal guidance and support to various departments within the company, including HR, finance, and operations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis as needed.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, and employment agreements.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
- Assist in maintaining corporate records and ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements.
- Support corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
Who You Are
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 4+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with in-house experience.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations in Healthcare and other compliances such as GDPR, HIPAA.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align legal advice with the company's strategic objectives.
