LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading brand in the CPG space in their search for a Supply Planning Manager. This is a long-term contract (2+ years) with potential for conversion / growth. This person will be responsible for setting the long-term production and inventory plan for all semi-finished and finished goods inventory.
In this role, the Supply Planning Manager will collaborate and execute on strategic direction for the supply planning function, delivering target service levels while minimizing inventory and supply chain cost and working cross functionally to ensure production meets optimal inventory positions and capacity is being utilized as efficiently and effectively as possible.
This position sits in Chicago, IL and requires travel 60-75% of time.
Supply Planning Manager Responsibilities:
- Own all-activities associated with Supply Planning within the IBP Process (e.g. Supply Review, inputs for Manufacturing Review, Integrated Reconciliation, etc.)
- Oversee KPI standardization, deck/content creation and ideas around future supply plans and service
- Oversee long-term capacity planning
- Managing the development of long-term supply plans to fulfill unconstrained demand plans
- Identify and escalate supply risks and opportunities to leadership and key customers
- Identify slow-moving inventory to mitigate obsolescence risk
- Manage supply inventory targets at the item level for semi-finished and finished goods
- Help set the finished-goods inventory policy for plants, including safety stock, requirements and replenishment strategy
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across inventory turns, inventory obsolescence, planned order adherence, plant attainment and more!
- Develop relationships with plant management and material planning teams
- Lead Integrated Business Planning (ITP), Innovation Launch Readiness (ILR) and Limited Time Offerings (LTO) to represent the supply planning function
- Serve as the key business driver in providing risk mitigation and service evaluation
- Oversee risk mitigation related to all service impact and process creation
Supply Planning Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning or adjacent field within Supply Chain
- Strong understanding of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process is required
- Proficiency with SAP software (any of: ECC, S4 HANA, APO, SAP IBP) in addition to Excel
- Previous experience working with Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence systems preferred
