A global leader in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join its growing U.S. operations. The company has recently expanded its presence in the U.S., contributing to key sectors like energy and infrastructure through significant wind, solar, and complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Environmental, Health, and Safety management, with experience in developing and implementing HSE systems within large-scale projects. This role requires expertise in legal compliance, team leadership, and effective communication with stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing the company’s commitment to sustainability and resilience across its U.S. projects.
The Role:
- The Health, Safety, and Environment Manager will oversee all EHS activities, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements while managing the Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems within an Integrated Management System for the project.
- Responsibilities include developing and implementing EHS systems, supervising EHS personnel, and maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders.
- The role involves setting and achieving quality and compliance standards, coordinating EHS related activities, and providing training and tools to support HSE objectives.
- The EHS Manager will oversee documentation, track system performance, and ensure accurate administration and reporting of EHS practices.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Applied Science, Engineering or any related field.
- 20 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment Roles, implementing construction and O&M safety programs for major infrastructure projects value at $200M or more.
- Minimum 2 years project experience managing a safety department
- Managed through to project completion
