Data Analyst
The Data Analyst uses statistical analysis, data modeling and visualization, and logic and reasoning skills on a variety of data sets and models to support business operations and derive actionable data driven insights. They understand the value brought forth by data and the implications of this information to drive strategic problem‐solving and decision‐making. The Data Analyst can engage and communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders such as clients, executives, partners and others to understand complex business problems/use cases, review related information, identify appropriate data sets, and perform analyses. The analyst also has excellent data visualization and written communication skills to present their findings in appropriate manner as relevant to the target audience.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Analyze, understand, maintain and develop data models against a set of various databases
● Strong understanding of database systems, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Familiarity with cloud‐based data management and storage solutions such as Fivetran, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
● Proficiency in data query languages such as SQL and Python is essential. The candidate should be comfortable with reading, writing and understanding SQL queries, Python scripts and similar concepts from other data query languages.
● Generate reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
● Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to approach complex challenges methodically.
● Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related products, market, or share trends.
● Support operations and maintenance of Sisense BI platform and future similar business intelligence initiatives. Design and develop data models, dashboards, widgets and similar BI related activities.
● Identify, monitor and provide technical support for current and potential customer data use cases, using business intelligence tools.
● Excellent communication skills to articulate complex data‐driven insights and recommendations to a diverse audience, including engineers, product managers, and executives. Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends.
● Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
● Perform daily duties in line with our client's Information Security Policies and Procedures.
● Ensure that Information Confidentiality, Integrity, and Privacy is always maintained with processing information assets.
● Assist Director of Product and other executives in identifying, developing and bringing to market new data related products.
● Present best practices and assist with enhancing internal processes as they relate to the data function.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas or close equivalent Data Science, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics
● Experience in analyzing large data sets, creating and managing data models and leveraging these across Business Intelligence and analysis applications
● Ability to compile and present comprehensive reports related to data insights to business problems
● Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to simplify and explain technical concepts to non‐technical audiences
● Strong cross functional collaboration skills working with diverse teams such as sales, product, software development, customer facing teams, clients and other stakeholders
● An analytical mindset and methodical inclination for problem solving
● Attention to detail
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience with machine learning models and AI‐driven analytics is a plus, especially in areas like customer segmentation, predictive analytics/forecasting, or anomaly detection
● Snowflake SnowPro or similar cloud data certifications
● Demonstrable experience with owning/assisting with build and go to market of data centric products
