As a Senior Procurement Specialist with a focus on Information Technology (IT), you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our IT procurement processes. You will leverage your extensive experience in IT procurement to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality IT products and services. Your expertise will support our strategic objectives, reduce costs, and enhance the overall effectiveness of our IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive IT procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms and conditions. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for complex IT contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that protect the company’s interests. Review and approve contract documentation.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess the competitive landscape.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal teams, to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with IT procurement.
- Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance. Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize procurement processes.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement staff. Share best practices and contribute to the development of procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT procurement, with a proven track record of managing complex IT procurement processes and negotiations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPPB) are a plus.
