The Position
Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking an Education Services professional to liaise with and assist our internal education services staff. You will perform editorial tasks for print and digital materials that are used by our internal teams, as well as client nurses, physicians, medical record coders, and others. This content plays a meaningful role in the success of our client engagements.
A high degree of professionalism and excellent organizational skills are required. You will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, effectively prioritize and demonstrate attention to detail in your work and be flexible when new information is introduced. In addition to proven professional expertise, highly polished written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Three or more years of experience proofreading and editing medical content
- Expertise in English grammar and syntax
- Ability to consistently apply multiple formatting preferences and standards across teams
- Ability to meet deadlines, support multiple projects, and track key deliverable dates in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Must be familiar with Slide Master functions in PowerPoint
- Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and course authoring tools a plus
- Applicants for employment must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kaufman Hall (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in English required
- Master’s degree in English preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations
- Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
Work Environment
- Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%
- The role is remotely based
- Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and home office and routinely uses standard office equipment
- It may require the maintenance of a home office and proximity to an airport for work related travel
