Position Title: SECS/GEM Developer for Equipment Integration

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SECS/GEM Developer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of real-time automation applications for equipment integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database and UI design, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development: Design, develop, and maintain real-time automation applications, focusing on equipment integration using SECS/GEM protocols.
- Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive requirements documents, design specifications, test plans, and end-user documentation.
- Communication: Present requirements, designs, test plans, and project status to peers and management effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of automation solutions.
- Programming: Utilize Microsoft Visual Studio development suite to write and maintain code in VB, C++, C#, and ADO.NET. Experience with Visual Source Safe for version control is required.
- Database Management: Develop and manage databases, with a focus on MS SQL, including writing and optimizing stored procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in developing real-time automation applications, with a strong understanding of SECS/GEM protocol or other industrial automation standards.
- Written Communication: Ability to write clear and concise technical documents including requirements, design documents, test plans, and end-user guides.
- Verbal Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts and project status to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team Skills: Demonstrated success in a collaborative team environment with a focus on achieving collective goals.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio suite, with experience in VB, C++, C#, ADO.NET, and Visual Source Safe.
- Database Knowledge: Experience with MS SQL and writing stored procedures is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with SECS/GEM protocol and other relevant industrial automation standards.
- Database Experience: Advanced skills in MS SQL and database optimization.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
