The Photo Art Director will be responsible for directing on-set photography projects across all brands. They will be required to execute on-set photo direction for product shots, aspirational and lifestyle images and to develop creative concepts for campaigns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exceptional creative thinking and excellent photo art direction skills
- Ability to successfully lead and give clear direction to stylists and photographers
- Ability to multi-task several teams and projects against brand goals and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to develop successful workflows
- Highly evolved sense of composition, taste level and trend awareness
- Ability to translate style guidelines for individual brands and channels through lighting, styling and propping
- Knowledge of Food Group brands, merchandise categories and individual gifts
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BA/BFA in photography, graphic design, advertising or related field
- Strong conceptual and photo art direction skills
- 5+ years experience with an in-house photo/design group or design/advertising agency or related experience.
- Proficient in Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite design software: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A high energy team player that has the ability to successfully lead and motivate others and enjoys being a part of a team.
- Able to work quickly and accurately in a challenging, fast paced environment while meeting short deadlines. Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain open communication and build trust with co-workers and superiors, as well as working across multiple production platforms for organizing, scheduling, and producing photography.
