LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Litigation Assistant for a law firm in Roseland, NJ. This role is in support of the litigation team involiving assistance with document preparation, managing legal document flow, and administrative tasks. The opportunity is fully on-site and direct hire.
Responsibilities:
- Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting data
- Review and verify correspondence, reports, and legal documents
- Draft letters, motions, briefs, table of contents, table of authorities, and other litigation documents
- Maintain attorney calendar(s) by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel
- Enter attorney time
- Interface with clients (i.e. confirm meetings, request required documentation)
- Record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; monitor evidence-gathering and deadlines
- E-file via eCourts, NYSCEF, and PACER
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience with civil litigation
- Experience e-filing in both NJ/NY and Federal courts
- Working knowledge of NetDocuments or similar document management application
- Experience using SurePoint or similar billing software
- Strong knowledge of Word and Outlook; ability to quickly learn other applications
- Experience with Best Authority software for creating TOA
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
