COGS has partnered with, multi billion dollar revenue chemical manufacturing company who are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. Due to increased market demand, they are in growth mode and expanding! As a result they have introduced a new and exciting position for an Electrical Engineer.
The salary for this role can up to 115K based hybrid in Huntsville, AL
Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a primary background in Electrical Engineering, complemented by expertise in Software Systems. Experience with mechanical systems, fluid systems, software printing systems, or other industrial equipment is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designing, writing, and testing programs to operate printing systems.
- Participating in meetings to set project direction and priorities.
- Taking part in design reviews for electronics and software systems.
- Improving, revising, and extending code to enhance reusability and fix bugs.
- Occasionally designing electronics hardware for various applications.
- Writing firmware to control in-house designed electronics hardware.
- Developing and testing FPGA programs to control printheads in printing systems.
- Assisting in the transfer of electronics and software to the manufacturing side for production.
- Writing user documentation to facilitate the operation of software and printing systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Electrical engineering
- At least 2 years of experience
- Firmware development experience in C and/or C++
- Electronics design involving microprocessors is a plus.
- PCB (printed circuit board) design experience is a plus
