Position Overview: As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, programming, and implementing control systems for our clients. You will be responsible for developing PLC and HMI solutions, ensuring the seamless integration of automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming, HMI development, and a proven track record in the automation and controls industry. The individual will get to experience a wide range of industry exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop PLC and HMI control systems for industrial automation projects.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, including but not limited to Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other industry-standard platforms.
- Create and implement HMI interfaces to enhance user interaction and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and provide technical expertise in the development of control solutions.
- Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to ensure the integration of the latest technologies into control system designs.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Document engineering designs, programming, and project details for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the automation and controls industry.
- Proven expertise in PLC programming, with proficiency in Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
- Extensive experience in HMI development and integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for on-site commissioning and project support.
