1. Litigation Associates
- General Litigation: Firms are seeking associates with 2-8 years of experience in general litigation. Desired qualifications include strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Trial experience is often preferred but not required. Roles involve managing all phases of litigation, from pleadings and discovery to trial and appeals. Licensure in multiple states (e.g., New York, New Jersey) is a plus. Experience in commercial litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, and class actions is valuable.
- Commercial Litigation: Associates with 3-7 years of experience handling corporate and commercial disputes in both state and federal courts are highly sought. Strong skills in drafting motions, legal research, discovery, and courtroom advocacy are essential. Specific experience in handling commercial business disputes, contract issues, and general corporate matters is often required.
- Insurance Defense Litigation: Candidates with 2+ years of experience defending tort and insurance defense matters. The roles require expertise in civil litigation with a focus on general liability, personal injury, and insurance coverage matters. Key skills include managing high-volume caseloads; trial experience is often beneficial.
- Class Action Defense: Roles are seeking associates with experience in defending clients in class action lawsuits, especially in commercial and privacy litigation. Desired skills include managing discovery efforts, drafting motions, and advising clients on case strategy.

Skills in general liability litigation are also preferred. Firms are looking for candidates with excellent research, writing, and legal analysis abilities, and who are licensed to practice in New York.
4. Real Estate Associates
- Real Estate Litigation: Firms are seeking associates with 5+ years of experience handling sophisticated real estate-related litigation. This includes landlord-tenant matters, construction disputes, and real estate transactions. Key skills include contract negotiation, legal research, and courtroom advocacy.
- Real Estate Transactions: Representing clients in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development. Duties include drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, conducting title and survey reviews, and overseeing closings. 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate law is preferred.
5. Trusts & Estates Associates

6. Corporate/Transactional Associates
- Responsibilities: Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transactional documents related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital markets and securities and financing agreements. Overseeing due diligence and closing processes. Involved in structuring complex corporate transactions and advising clients on corporate governance.
- Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of corporate transactional experience, including familiarity with corporate governance, and securities regulation.
7. Labor & Employment Law Associates
- Responsibilities: Advising on labor and employment law matters, including workplace investigations, litigation, compliance with state and federal employment laws, and training on workplace issues. Representing clients in employment disputes, mediations, and arbitration. Candidates should have experience with state and federal employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, and Title VII.
8. Construction/Insurance Defense Associates
- Responsibilities: Handling construction accident litigation, insurance defense matters, labor law violations, personal injury cases, and professional liability cases. 7+ years of experience in construction law or insurance defense is preferred, especially in New York labor law cases related to Sections 200, 240(1), and 241(6).
9. Tax Associates
- Responsibilities: Advising clients on corporate tax matters, estate and gift tax planning, tax compliance, and tax litigation. Drafting documents related to tax strategies, trusts, and other tax-efficient structures. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in federal and state tax laws.
10. Managed Care & Healthcare Litigation Associates
- Responsibilities: Firms require associates with 4-7 years of litigation experience, particularly in managed care and healthcare disputes. Candidates should have experience with provider contracts, medical necessity claims, and out-of-network litigation. Strong analytical and communication skills, along with arbitration experience, are preferred.
