About the Role:
Our client is looking for a certified A&P and IA licensed Aircraft Mechanic for the role of Assistant Director Of Maintenance. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on general aviation aircraft to ensure airworthiness and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance: Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of general aviation aircraft, including single-engine and multi-engine planes.
- Conduct inspections: Carry out thorough inspections as per FAA regulations and standards to ensure compliance and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot: Analyze and resolve issues with aircraft systems, including engines, hydraulics, and avionics.
- Repair and modify: Perform repairs and modifications on airframes, powerplants, and associated systems.
- Maintain records: Keep accurate records of all maintenance and inspections performed, including detailed log entries.
- Collaborate: Work with other team members to support the efficient operation of the maintenance department.
- Ensure safety: Make certain all work performed adheres to safety regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid FAA A&P certification.
- Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification.
- Minimum of three years of experience in general aviation aircraft maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with various aircraft models and manufacturers.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance software systems.
- Advanced certifications or specialized training in specific aircraft systems or components.
