My client - a Fortune 150 organization - is seeking an Associate General Counsel for their greater Tampa-St. Petersburg location. The team member will join a department of 5-6 lawyers, who are looking for a legal professional with the right attitude, a desire to learn, and to help with the company growth in this new position.
Responsibilities
- Ensure organizational compliance with laws and regulations, developing and reviewing policies and guidelines.
- Provide legal counsel to senior leadership, safeguarding the company's legal interests.
- Identify and analyze legal issues, draft key documents, and present recommendations to top management.
- Assist or represent the organization in critical business negotiations.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience as in-house counsel
- Familiarity with government contracts
- Strong skills in legal document review, research, writing, and contracts review.
- Knowledge in litigation, negotiation, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Travel as needed to other company locations
