Job Description:
Responsible for the internal management of Mapvision systems, including programming and making necessary changes to ensure their proper use. Ensures that Mapvision systems are utilized in accordance with the GD&T specifications of each part.
Recommendations:
- Capable of learning Mapvision programming and networking to effectively assist various plants. Skilled in troubleshooting and identifying the root causes of daily issues related to vision quality systems in plant operations. This is fundamental as programming will be needed in a weekly basis
- Conduct and where necessary, lead in the improvement of capability studies and gauge R & R analysis
- Ensure time management is executed in the completion of all projects/ duties.
- Create quality documents in compliance with the company’s quality system manual and quality system standards
- Proficient in computer hardware, including network switches, cameras, and PC components, to effectively diagnose and resolve issues within Mapvision systems.
- Review and make recommendations for the disposition of non-conforming/suspect products in a timely manner and ensure formal corrective actions are answered within customers guidelines
- Review project related documentation to ensure its accuracy
- Contribute to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, safety concerns, unsuitability of standard material and difficult coordination requirements from design to implementation.
- Ensure all components are completed before systems are fully installed in the automotive lines.
- Responsible for trouble shooting root cause analysis, SPC data analysis, implementation and maintain up to date documentations related to APQP documentation
- Participate and coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Participate and coordinate the Team Oriented Problem Solving (corrective and preventive actions)
- Coordinate and responsible for PPAP submissions within specified timeframe
- Coordinate project activities with other department’s personnel to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion
- Travel as needed to plants across the Americas and Europe, averaging 75% travel per year.
Qualifications:
- Experienced with Mapvision equipment and software.
- Skilled in computer networks for efficient debugging.
- Proficient in programming and understanding Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Proficient in the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Thorough knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and dimensional drawings, including reading and interpretation of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and Datum/Alignment concepts.
- Strong understanding of measuring equipment functionality, including CMM, checking fixtures, and scanning tools.
- Capable of leading dimensional issue resolution and root cause analysis activities.
- Knowledgeable in quality systems, including ISO, IATF standards, and AIAG core tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Effective communicator with MRE plants and assembly integrator suppliers, providing guidance and follow-up for new and existing Mapvision systems.
- Able to work independently to accomplish daily tasks and planned goals.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English, and preferable but nor required Spanish
