They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to join their team and provide capable leadership
Responsibilities
- Overall Plant Leadership: Oversee and manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient and effective execution of daily tasks.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, including Accounting, Purchasing, Laboratory, HR, Engineering & Maintenance, Scheduling, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving/Warehousing, Health, Safety & Environment, and Factory Supervisory staff.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with Finance to develop and manage the annual operating budget, tracking progress and reporting on financial performance.
- Operational Efficiency: Work closely with Sales and Scheduling to optimize plant operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment while maximizing throughput and cycle time efficiencies.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Prioritize the health and safety of all employees, manage worker compensation claims, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Employee Development: Foster a positive work environment by promoting fair treatment, optimizing employee efficiency and performance, and maintaining high morale.
- Quality Assurance: Champion quality initiatives and develop policies and procedures to ensure product excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with staff, Engineering, and employees to identify and implement capital improvement plans for the plant and warehouse.
Qualifications
- Proven Leadership: Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior management position within a manufacturing environment.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
- Technical Expertise: Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for interacting with employees, staff, suppliers, and customers.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in dynamic business environments and work independently.
Compensation
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
Variable Bonus: Eligible for a competitive variable bonus based on individual and company performance.
