The Technical Designer collaborates with Design, Production & Product development to ensure quality & delivery and takes pride in maintaining the company’s values & practices. We have a supportive work environment and consistent workflow, while each Technical Designer owns a brand that includes tops & bottoms and is responsible for reviewing and approving fit, construction and overall quality of bulk production overseen by Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Work with technical design manager, designers, and create specs / construction sheets for proto & fit samples utilizing blocks.
- Measure & examine Fit/PP garments from factories and prepare for scheduled fittings.
- Attend virtual/in-person fit sessions, analyze fit and accurately communicate corrections.
- Write fit comments with all necessary detailed sketches & photos.
- Monitor and maintain fit, construction, and workmanship standards for each product category and ensure consistency.
- Communicate daily with various overseas vendors via email.
- Report and work with production coordinators for issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical design
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Clear understanding of fit & grading
- Excellent time management & organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Team player, collaborative attitude
- Experience with PLM, PDF, Excel or similar software
- Pattern knowledge is a plus
Annual salary starting at $80,000+
