We are seeking an associate for our litigation practice group to handle general liability cases including, commercial, and umbrella policies, involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, HOA, in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
*Handling cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial
*Propounding and responding to discovery
*Medical record review/summaries
*Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses and experts
*Attend court hearings
*Prepare motions/oppositions
*Prepare case status reports to carriers
*Trial preparation
Qualifications
*CA State Bar License
*Prior insurance defense experience is preferred: Must be driven, self-starter, and able to independently handle a caseload.
*An ideal candidate would have a minimum of three years with strong litigation skills, including discovery, conducting depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation background.
*Ability to multitask effectively
*Reliable and able to work a caseload independently under the supervision of a firm partner
*Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills are a must
