Overall responsibilities and duties:
A Manufacturing Process Engineer (Industrial/Manufacturing) is responsible for providing manufacturing engineering support to assigned Unit of Autonomous Production (UAP) area and continuous improvement efforts.
The main missions of the role are:
- Plan and implement new products and/or changes to the manufacturing process
- Provide manufacturing engineering support to the assigned UAP area
- Provide support to Production, FES Eng, & the UAP Quality Engineer as required
- Review processes and procedures on an on-going basis for safety, quality, and production efficiency
- Participate in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement activities as assigned
- Develop plans in accordance with Customer requirements using value analysis, and other technique including PFMEA and Control Plans
- Responsible for any changes to products or equipment due to Engineering changes
- Develop and implement manufacturing documentation and other operator instructions
- Train supervisors on process standards
- Ensure respect for the environment and secure internal control of the plant
- Promote and ensure the respect of the code of ethics and code of management
- Support and follow Being Faurecia values and convictions
- Attend, participate, & support all meetings(Top 5, DLE, etc) directed by UAP
- Support and assist in UAP FES deployment actions.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Experience:
- Preferred 2 years previous experience in manufacturing engineering
- Preferred automotive manufacturing experience
Skills and competencies
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques associated with project management
