We are seeking a highly skilled Travelling Superintendent with underground utilities experience to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within the given time frame, budget and quality standards. You will be required to work closely with the project team, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure that the project is executed efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate construction activities with project managers, engineers, and contractors
- Oversee and manage the construction team to ensure quality and timely completion of the project
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure that they are in compliance with the project requirements
- Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and procedures
- Monitor project costs and control expenses
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out according to plan and specifications
- Resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Ensure that all project-related documentation is completed accurately and on time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, specifically experience in underground pipeline/utility work, water/wastewater, heavy site and civil construction, pipeline installation
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient project management software
