Job Title: Production Manager (Wood Shop)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Production Manager to lead and oversee operations in our Wood Shop. This role is essential in ensuring that our production meets all cost, quality, and output goals. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, coordinating resources, and driving continuous improvement across all production areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise production operations on the Wood Shop floor, including machining, processing, and assembly.
- Monitor production schedules and orders, making strategic decisions on staffing, inventory, and workflow to meet time and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with technical and administrative staff to resolve production challenges and maintain operational efficiency.
- Analyze operations reports and implement solutions to optimize performance and address any production issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee production staff supervisors and group leaders, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and at least 6 years of progressive experience in manufacturing. A strong understanding of production processes, quality control, cost management, and proficiency with SAP systems (especially in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory management) is crucial.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for building strong relationships. You should be adept at analyzing data, solving complex problems, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Leadership:
Proven experience in leading teams, driving productivity, and implementing process improvements.
