Brooksource is seeking an innovative Application Developer to join our team, supporting one of our local custom manufacturing clients. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software applications and systems integrations to help streamline and enhance the company's internal processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions that align with our client's IT objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, deploy, and maintain robust internal software applications to support business operations.
- Develop and maintain system integrations and data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.
- Interpret business requirements and user stories, converting them into technical specifications for effective solutions.
- Conduct rigorous system testing and QA processes to ensure functionality and security.
- Maintain detailed documentation for internally developed applications, ensuring clarity and accessibility for future development and troubleshooting.
- Own and manage internal code repositories and deployment pipelines, ensuring proper version control and deployment practices.
- Lead project planning initiatives for the enhancement, standardization, and automation of company systems.
- Research, assess, and implement new information systems and technologies to meet evolving company objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience and certifications will be considered.
- Proficiency in C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with the .NET Framework, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Familiarity with REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs for systems integration.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or PowerShell is a plus.
- Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) standards and setups, including LDAP and SAML, is a plus.
