Manufacturing company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will oversee the accounting, finance, and financial control functions for the organization. Responsibilities include comprehensive financial reporting, accounting operations, treasury management, budgeting, tax oversight, strategic planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation. Additionally, the CFO will lead the accounting team and collaborate cross-functionally within operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for subsidiaries, providing focused financial and operational insights along with associated analysis for stakeholders.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess ongoing business performance.
- Strengthen existing internal controls, processes, and systems, and institute new policies and procedures as needed.
- Improve and maintain product costing methods, inventory management, and operational accounting, evaluating pricing adjustments as necessary.
- Drive the implementation of accounting policies and support ERP enhancements to streamline reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Treasury functions, including relationship management with financial institutions.
- Provide regular cash flow forecasts to stakeholders and generate flash reports analyzing results by various metrics.
- Direct short and long-term financial forecasting, operating and capital budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Analyze economic and business conditions to anticipate their impact on the company.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Prepare comprehensive financial and operational reports for presentation to executive management.
- Act as a key advisor in setting yearly objectives and engage external advisors for audit, tax, and investment matters.
- Oversee retirement plan responsibilities, ensuring compliance with fiduciary duties and proper diversification of investments.
- Support both domestic and international expansion initiatives.
- Coordinate with external accounting firms for annual reviews and tax filings, ensuring compliance with payroll and sales tax obligations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Previous Manufacturing industry experience in a Senior Accounting/Finance Leadership role.
- Proficiency in standard cost accounting and inventory reporting, is a required.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- ERP Integration experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
