Business Objective: Our client, a large non-for-profit healthcare system based in Renton, WA, is looking to bring on a BMET I to help assist with PM activities for infusion pumps and general biomedical equipment.
Duration: 2 Months (8 Weeks)
Job Description:
The BMET installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of biomedical equipment and systems, independent of technical supervision. The individual should be competent in the use of all applicable test equipment and tools required in the performance of duties. BMET will also provide planned maintenance inspections, calibrations, and repairs of general biomedical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance service, calibration and repair of medical equipment in accordance with departmental standards and manufacturer's operator and technical service manuals.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.
- Perform repairs, tests and calibrates medical equipment according to manufacturer’s literature and other established guidelines.
- Performs assigned duties in accordance with current policies and procedures, including equipment inspection, minor repairs and planned maintenance, with minimal supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot medical equipment faults and remedy within a given time period minimal supervision
- Facilitate repairs and maintenance on medical equipment with minimal supervision.
- Conducts cross-training in techniques of testing, calibrating, operating and troubleshooting medical equipment.
- Assists in the evaluation of new medical equipment, accessories and supplies
