As the Senior Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of ID&C's operations, which include production, maintenance, logistics, warehousing, and quality control. The main goals of this position are to improve productivity, accuracy, customer satisfaction, and safety, while managing costs.
Your Day to Day May Include:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of facility operations, production, finishing, logistics and fulfillment.
- Develop and implement procedures, policies, and systems to ensure operational excellence and alignment with the company's vision and values.
- Monitor and report on production cost controls, capacity plans, human capital, and facility requirements.
- Ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of the operations team and foster a culture of respect, teamwork, open communication, and professional recognition.
- Provide direction, development, and leadership to the operations team and ensure they have the skills, tools, and resources to achieve the company's performance goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with all departments on day-to-day operations and special projects.
- Evaluate and recommend capital investments and projects that result in increased revenue and/or cost savings.
- Champion change management throughout the organization and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide financial reports and continuous feedback to corporate management and review progress against goals.
- Oversee and be responsible for corporate reporting of Safety, Sustainability and other initiatives where required.
What you need to succeed:
- BA degree or relevant post-graduate qualifications in Operations, Business Administration, or related subject. Masters or MBA preferred
- 5+ years relevant management experience
- Process improvement (Lean) experience with demonstrated success preferred.
- Experience with some or all of the following: manufacturing, print production, logistics, finishing & fulfillment.
- Strong combination of strategic vision and an ability to get involved in the “hands-on” basis of the operation
- Ability to prioritize while quickly solving problems in a high-pressure environment
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Strong delegation skills and ability to get the best out of teams and individuals
